Stars in their Eyes was an awesome experience.

Shaggy, Celine Dion, Delta Goodrum, Sharleene Spiteri and Meat Loaf all on the same stage.......what a night it was.

It was a nervy time for all of us, we were living the dreams of 46,000 hopefuls who sent in their applications.

It was great to meet Cat Deeley and all the crew, I must thank Mark who was an absolute gem, he was the unfortunate one who had to keep an eye on me and make sure that everything was running smooth, and to ensure that I was where I should be at the right time.

The show went by so fast that all I can remember was that when I looked up in the audience to where my family were sitting I could see my dad John, my brother John and my mates Dave and Chris all with tears in their eyes, I was struggling to fight back the tears myself.

It was an experience that I will never forget and I made a lot of new friends over the two days up at Granada Studios and I have kept in touch with them all.

It has also enabled me to use the old "As seen on" bit which has grabbed the attention of some big clubs in the area.
